Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18 NASB

When #fear seems overwhelming, how do we overcome it? How do we “cast it out?” John says that it is “perfect love” that overcomes fear, which is not ours, it is the love of Christ. We have begin to understand “how wide, how high, and how deep” is the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:18).

Do you have that understanding? If not, how do we begin to grasp it?

An evangelist I know witnesses to many, prays for healing, and sees miracles as a result of the power of the Holy Spirit. However, he says his most powerful tool for witnessing is to tell the person to close their eyes and say, “Jesus, I am precious to you.”

Do that right now. Let God show you how much he loves you.
