Hacked: The Saga
If you are asking, “What the heck is this and what does it have to do with a Christian ministry site?” You ask an excellent question, one which I asked myself.
I was just teaching Bible studies. Little did I know what all that would get me into.
The updates on this page, what I’ve labeled “Hacked: the Saga,” are a series of updates that I shared as I was trying to determine what exactly the motivation was behind the hacking of my devices and sabotage of my sites and platforms and who was behind it.
When I gave the first update on August 4th, “A message to my stalker,” I knew two people who were involved in a sock puppet network that were promoting Christian influencers on social media. I knew that this same network was also running porn accounts that were profiling the followers of those same Christian influencers in addition to a number of other unethical, of not outright illegal, activities on social media.
I had just submitted a 200-page report to the FBI via IC3 and their tips site outlining all of the activities that I saw on July 28, 2024, after my repeated calls to the FBI to report the continuing hacking, stalking, and threats were ignored.
I received no response or acknowledgement of that submission.
So I decided to livestream and talk about what was going on. It was in preparation for that livestream that I realized the political motivation in the targeting of my site.
What I Think
Based on what I’ve discovered, people close to me stole from me and lied about my involvement in certain things. Apparently, they created an entire alternate timeline for my life worthy of an episode in The Flash. It looks like it began in 2016/2017 …
I used to tell the third-graders in my Sunday school class to never believe a thing just because someone said it.
The person could have been told a true thing, but they MISUNDERSTOOD what they were told. 🧵 …

When I began doing livestream Bible studies in May of 2019, this presented a problem for the original group in my home state of Oregon because even though I was 2,000 miles away in Texas, the very existence of those livestreams exposed the lie that they had told and the fraud they committed.
Enter group B, who provided a solution to group A. Group B in Texas wanted my words, for various reasons. The Texans would help the Oregonians by burying me and my work so the Oregonians could continue their lie. In exchange, the Texans would get my words.
This deal was struck in 2019 and from the file manipulation, it looks like the Texans started with my #NoFear devotional (published 2019); my annotated edition of A Dish of Orts by George MacDonald (which I didn’t finish annotating until 2022); all of my work from the apologetics program, including my working thesis on the dating of Jesus’s birth; a book I was working on to accompany my posts and media on reading through the Psalms; the content for a niche site and ebook on party planning; and the content of a Scrivener project that held my research on the sketchy resignation of Heath Rushing from the Humble ISD school board in 2017.
Weird collection, I know. But when I found those set apart files, everything made sense. It provided the frame of the puzzle for the pieces I was trying to put together.
What is Scrivener

What is Scrivener?
In many of my updates, you will hear me mention Scrivener. So what is Scrivener? Scrivener is a word collector. Some know of it as “book writing software,” the developers, Literature & Latte, say it is for writing … which is the best description. Almost everything I’ve written from September 2015, a month after I started the apologetics graduate program at Houston Baptist University, resides in one Scrivener project or another. The program works like a binder for RTF text files that can be grouped and moved around at will.
All of my assignments, papers, and discussion posts are in a Scrivener project for the apologetics program. Everything I’ve published for Raised to Walk (posts, social media updates, newsletter text, video description and tags, etc.) are in their own Scrivener project.
One of the ways that I knew what was stolen was by what was deleted and/or sabotaged in my Scrivener projects, such as the interview with Barry Wilson, a pastor at Second Baptist Church in Kingwood, TX, on church outreach for an evangelism class with Lee Strobel. The RTF file with that particular assignment was corrupted and would not export. I knew that my thesis on the dating of Jesus’s birth had been targeted and stolen when I saw that the saved discussions with feedback on that thesis had been edited so that it appeared that my thesis was on the dating of the Gospels, which it was not.
As I have every post written saved in a Scrivener file, the fact that the posts that I had planned to include in my work-in-progress, Straight Pathways, had been deleted out of that project told me the thieves were trying to hide evidence that I was the author of the work. I have a process for content creation, whether it is for written content or videos, and Scrivener is a big part of that process. When something is missing from that production process, I know there is a reason behind it.
