The Marion County Property Fraud Investigation
Documenting the fraudulent foreclosure and theft of a home on Fern Ridge Road in Stayton, Oregon
Between July and October 2025, a routine investigation into a single questionable sheriff sale in Marion County, Oregon uncovered something far more disturbing: a systematic pattern of foreclosure fraud, document manipulation, and property theft targeting vulnerable families.
This subseries within Hacked the Saga documents the investigation as it unfolded—from the initial discovery of hidden auction listings and fraudulent documents, to courthouse confrontations, security incidents, and the exposure of what appears to be an organized criminal enterprise operating within the property transfer system.
What began as questions about one stolen home revealed a web of corruption involving forged signatures, digital surveillance, platform sabotage, and the systematic erasure of property owners from public records. These updates chronicle the investigation as I was uncovering it and attempted to report it to the Marion County District Attorney, the Stayton Police Department, the Keizer Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and finally to the office of the Oregon Attorney General under AG Dan Rayfield, all of whom declined to open a case or investigate.
