The writer of Proverbs warns us in Proverbs 29:25 that “the fear of man is a snare.” One of the clearest examples of the truth of this statement is Texas Senator, Ted Cruz.

The following is a two minute clip from a Bible study that I did with the Afghan Christians that I was teaching in Pakistan via Zoom in August 2023. Most all of the classes I held with them were uploaded as private videos on my channel, Bright Sheep Ministries.

A transcript:

We have a lot of people in the United States that say that they’re Christians … and they’re leaders.

And not only are they betraying people, but they’re betraying God because they will go along with evil because they think that will get them farther.

And we have an example of this with one of my senators from Texas, Ted Cruz.

He spoke up about how immoral Donald Trump was in the 2016 election when he was running against him.

But when Trump got the nomination, at first he would not endorse him. He [Cruz] stood against him [Trump].

But he continued to be pressured, to back the Republican nominee. He got to the point where he backed even the worst things Trump did and even was part of the the planning to overthrow the 2020 election.

And so now, people that were part of that plot, they’ve been indicted and they’re starting to be called to account. And Ted Cruz might be one of them, actually, because he was in it as well.

But they did it because they thought they would get ahead. They thought that if they went along with the evil; that they would be in a better position.

I truly believe that Ted Cruz had a word given to him that he would be
president someday. I think he thought he had to make it happen. If he had just stood firm and did the right thing, no matter what the cost was, I think he probably would have been.

But he’s lost that promise, he’s lost that blessing. And not only will
he never be president because people think he’s a joke now, but he’ll be lucky if he doesn’t end up in jail because of the things that he’s done.

There’s a passage that says the fear of man is a trap. We have to put
our trust in God, even if it looks like the outcome is not going to
be good for us.

We still have to put our trust in God.

When I said this in August of 2023, I was just speaking about Ted Cruz’s known political shadiness such as endorsing a known predator for Senate and his participation in the January 6th insurrection. I had no idea that my site and platforms were being targeted by Cruz’s campaign because I called him a hypocrite in 2017.

I knew what he had done to his constituents in Texas and the nation as a whole, I did not know what he had done to me personally.

Lest we forget, Cruz is a uniquely slimy politician who has the dishonor of holding all of the self-serving, hypocritical, let-the-rich-get-richer policy positions of country club Republicans while also being the most hated man in Congress. But what has he actually done?

First Amendment Rights Violations

The targeting of my site, platforms, and person due to my expressed dislike of Ted Cruz is a violation in numerous ways.

• The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of speech to speak out against the government (and its members) without fear of retaliation. The attacks against are retaliatory and politically funded.
• The First Amendment guarantees freedom of the press. I have been publicizing not only the attacks against me, but providing factual information about the realities of immigration in my Kabul Hope updates, which have also been targeted and their distribution suppressed. This is illegal.
• The First Amendment guarantees the right to peaceably assemble. My communications have been blocked and my social media accounts sabotaged blocking my ability to assemble in a normal and uninhibited fashion.
• The First Amendment guarantees the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. I have submitted complaints to government agencies and submitted FOIA requests. Those contacts have been stonewalled.
• The First Amendment guarantees the right of freedom of religion and the God of my religion is one of justice and equity, who hates hypocrites, the corrupts, and those who take bribes. My publications are being attacked and sabotaged because I make it clear that Ted Cruz’s actions are not in line with the Christianity that I follow.

More About This Clip

When all of my accounts were hacking through the hacking of my Google Pixel phone on August 5th, the Gmail account that YouTube channel was among them. When I finally recovered the Bright Sheep Gmail account, the YouTube channel, which has the full video of the Bible study class this clip is from, was hijacked off of it.
