In a number of our articles on Raised to Walk, we have created images and graphics that complement the topic of the article and often share them on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.  We have taken some of the most popular of those images and created digital prints and cards available for order.

What Are Printables?

Different designers offer various formats; however, in our shop each product offering contains a print format as a pdf and jpg in one or more sizes, a card front, and a greeting card layout ready to print from any printer in a pdf format.

How Do Printables Differ from Shareable Images?

When images are prepared to be shared solely online, they are optimized to a file format that is smaller in size and that will load faster on the web.  This saves bandwidth both for the site owner and those visiting the site.  As a result, any image on the web, such as our shareable images, are going to be a lower resolution and not suitable for print.

The files in each printable product are specifically designed to be printed at the noted size at print quality resolutions.   Each layout is created separately ensuring that the orientation and scale is designed for that end format.  If there is a graphic on this site you would like converted to a printable format, please let us know.

Build a Library of Creatives

We living in a digital world of social media, emails, and online comments, but there is still something about getting a card in hand.  All of us have had that moment where we need a card and scramble to find just the right one.  With the purchase of a printable download, you can start building your own library of printable cards and gifts to print at a moment’s notice.

Printables:  What You Will Receive

Many designers sell print and greeting card files separately.  We are selling the use of the design and provide the formats ready to print for each design is suited.  Each product listing will list the files and sizes included.  Immediately upon payment confirmation, a download link will be available for a zip file containing all of the files.  The downloads for all of your purchases will also be available in your account on Raised to Walk.

Where to Get Prints Made

For prints, the .jpg file can be uploaded to services such as Shutterfly or the online photo services.  You may also purchase the prints ready made through our print service.

How to Print Using Your Own Computer and Printer

The greeting/note card layouts are designed specifically to be printed from a home printer using standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper.   A pdf is included with a layout of two (2) per page.  The card will be an A2 size (4.25″ x 5.5″)  and can be used with A2 envelopes (4 3/8″ x 5 3/4″).  A .jpg of the card front is also included if you prefer to use it with a greeting card design program or a program like Microsoft Publisher.

Printing Tips: For the best results, use a good quality card stock.  I run cardstock through my HP OfficeJet with no problem; however, if your printer has an option for a direct feed versus the tray feed, always do the direct feed with any thicker paper.  There will be less chance of it getting bound in the paper feed.  You might test to see how your particular printer handles 65 lb and 110 lb cardstock.  Some printers have a setting in the print software to handle heavier paper.

Assembly Tips:  The cards, whether they have a landscape or portrait orientation, will need to be cut at 5.5″ and scored at 4.25.”  The cards can be cut with anything, but a paper trimmer with a cutting blade and a scorer makes this easy.  If you don’t have a scorer, simply fold the card in half.

License for Use

The purchase of the printable files gives you the right to reprint the files as often as you wish for your own personal use.  The files cannot be resold or used in the production of commercial products.
