Thankful for Good Friends: True Friendship and Answered Prayers

by | Jul 18, 2013 | Giving Thanks | 0 comments

This week I am very thankful for my friends.

Some people you become friends with because of circumstances, because you in close proximity either due to work, school, or involvement in organizations.

But some people you are friends with because you are walking down the same path going in the same direction.  And those are the friends I am very thankful for today.

People you can tell weird stuff to and they don’t look like you’ve lost your mind.

People you can call at the last minute and ask them to help you with something, and they not only say yes but they drive an hour and a half to do it.

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. ~ Proverbs 18:24 NKJV

I’m also very thankful for the awesome answers to prayer God’s been giving to me and people I know lately.  As one of the leaders in my Bible study, Mr. Godbe, said recently, “This class prays and God answers.”

And it’s true.

But one of the coolest answers to prayer I’ve seen recently is one that I just heard last night.  Someone in the Power Prayer class said that her glasses had been blurry recently so she went to get her eyes checked, and they had improved!

In the past year I’ve noticed that there are a lot of eye issues in my class, that and brain tumors (seriously.)  So I get very excited when I see healing, complete or in progress, in either one of those areas.
