Our culture talks a lot about love. Everyone is looking for it. Most of our songs are about it: finding love, being in love, or losing love . . . Or in the case of Taylor Swift, it is all three. But what does the Bible say about love? Here are 15 Bible verses about love
The Characteristics of Love
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. ~ Ephesians 4:2

Who We Are to Show Love to
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. ~ Proverbs 17:17
Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10
Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39

Love: The Greatest Thing
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
