See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 1:29 NIV

When Moses led the Israelites to the land of Canaan, it was a beautiful land full of abundance. He had promised them that they would live in houses that they had not built and harvest grapes they had not planted. They were led right to the edge, the fulfillment of the promise was right across the river . . . But what kept them back?

It was that four letter word, F.E.A.R.

Because of fear, the generation that left Egypt, excepting Caleb and Joshua, missed their blessing. Instead of a journey of a few months from Egypt to their new home, they wandered around in the wilderness for forty years and died with the knowledge of what could have been sitting there as a constant reminder.

God had brought them out of Egypt from under the dominion of the most powerful kingdom in the world at that time, yet they allowed fear of giants in the land to doubt God.

What giants are you facing? What problems are you encountering that seem “too big” for God? Is it finances, relationships, or health issues?

Whatever it is say, “My God is bigger” and take possession of what God has promised you.
